Sour Cream Pound Cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 325.

1 – Sift dry ingredients together. Set aside.

2 – Cream butter and sugar, then add egg yolks one at a time, mix. Add sour cream and flavoring.

3 – Add flour mixture and beat 5 minutes.

4 – Beat egg whites in separate bowl until stiff, then fold into batter.

5 – Pour into greased and flours tube pan and bake 325 degrees 1 hour and 30 minutes.
