Granola-Date Bars

INGREDIENTS NEEDED

  • 1 heaping cup dates
  • 1/4 cup honey OR maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond butter OR peanut butter
  • 1 cup chopped unsalted almonds
  • 1 & 1/2 cups oats
  • OPTIONAL – choc chips, dried fruits, nuts, vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

1 – Process dates in a food processor about 1 minute.

2 – Add oats & almonds and mix. (Toast in oven at 350 for 12 minutes first)

3 – Warm syrup or honey and nut butter over low heat till blended.

4 – Add to mixture. Press into parchment paper lined dish and press down/roll firmly with glass to pack.

5 – Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Remove and cut into bars.
