Baked Chicken & Rice


    • 3 Tablespoons butter
    • 3 Tablespoons flour
    • 1/2 cup chicken broth (1/2 boullion cube, 1/2 cup water)
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • salt and pepper
    • 4 Chicken breasts
    • 3/4 cup rice
    • 1 cup water
    • 1/4 teaspoon paprika & garlic salt

    Step by Step Instructions

    STEP 1
    Preheat oven to 375. 

    STEP 2
    Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat, add flour until thickened. Add chicken stock and mix until smooth, add milk. Simmer until thick. Remove from heat, add salt and pepper.

    STEP 3
    Add the rice and water to the white sauce and mix. Pour into bottom of buttered casserole dish. Top with chicken, sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika, garlic salt.
    STEP 4
    Bake covered for 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes.
