Spagetti Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 sweet onion, chopped
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, minced
- 1 (29 0z) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (14 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste/ 1 can water
- 1/2 cup fresh basil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 t. salt and 1/2 pepper
- OPTIONAL (1 lb ground sirloin OR 1 small eggplant, chopped OR meatballs)
Step by Step Instructions
STEP 1
Saute garlic, onion, green pepper and celery in olive oil until soft.
If adding ground beef, cook is separate skillet until done, drain.
