Egg Custard


  • 2 cups milk OR unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 or 4 eggs
  • 1/8 t. salt
  • 1/3 c. sugar OR 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • nutmeg
Preheat oven to 325. Place 6 ramekin dishes into a roasting pan, fill pan with hot water.

Simmer milk and remove from heat, whisk sugar, eggs and vanilla, then slowly stir this into hot milk.

Pour into ramekins and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake 35 minutes until edges are set.
